Privacy Policy

Plain summary: pview runs entirely on your computer. We don’t have accounts, we don’t collect your library, and your videos never leave your machine.
What the app stores
pview keeps its catalog (file paths, metadata, thumbnails, tags, ratings) in a local SQLite database and an assets folder on your own device. We never receive a copy of any of it.
What leaves your device
- Update checks: the app periodically asks our update server whether a newer version exists. This is a standard version request.
- Media-server sync (optional): if you enable it, pview connects directly to a media server on your own network. Nothing is routed through us.
- License activation: happens offline on your device. Your key is verified locally; we do not phone home to validate it.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd (“Paddle”), our merchant of record, who is the seller of record and processes your payment details and tax. We receive order confirmation (such as your email and order ID) solely to issue and support your license. We never see your full payment-card details. Website
This website is static and ships no third-party trackers. If we add analytics, it will be privacy-respecting and cookieless.
