Terms of Service

Plain summary: pview is a desktop app you buy once and own for the v1.x line. Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. You can try the free tier first, and paid licenses are refundable within 14 days.

1. Who we are

pview (“we”, “us”) is a desktop video library manager for macOS and Windows, distributed from pview.app. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using pview, or by purchasing a license, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and — for the software itself — our End-User License Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use pview.

3. The software and licenses

pview is free to use up to a 200-video library. A one-time paid license unlocks unlimited indexing for the v1.x release line and is verified entirely offline on your device — there is no account and no online activation. Your use of the software is governed by the End-User License Agreement.

4. Payments and merchant of record

Orders are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd (“Paddle”), our merchant of record. Paddle handles the transaction, accepted payment methods, and any applicable sales tax or VAT, and is the seller of record shown on your statement and receipt. Prices are displayed in GBP. After purchase, your license key is issued automatically, emailed to you, and shown on the confirmation page.

5. Refunds

Paid licenses may be refunded within 14 days of purchase — see our Refund Policy for how to request one.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to resell, redistribute, sublicense, or reverse-engineer the software except as permitted by law, and not to use pview for any unlawful purpose. pview indexes and manages files that already exist on your own devices; you are responsible for that content and for complying with the laws that apply to you.

7. Disclaimer and liability

pview is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data — always keep backups of important files.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
